Waterloo was a Canadian power pop band that debuted in 1982 and were primarily active until 1987. The band featured singer and guitarist Chris Wardman, keyboard player Neil chapman, guitarist Brad Barker, bassist John Gibbard, and drummer Terry Wilkins. Their sound was a mix of power pop and new wave songs, characterized by big choruses and catchy hooks.

They released three studio albums over the course of their career, albeit to moderate commercial success. Despite that, they had a devoted cult fan-following that elevated them to legendary status in their homeland of Canada. Amongst their most popular tunes are "10 A.M. Automatic", "Sing Me a Song", and "Smile Looking Back".
