City and Colour is a Canadian alternative/ folk rock music artist project by singer-songwriter Dallas Green. He began playing solo in the late 1990s, and his first studio album, Sometimes, was released in 2005. This album garnered very positive reviews and led to six Juno Award nominations. The single "Saving Grace" was particularly successful, receiving a gold certification in Canada. Each successive album and EP has been met with critical acclaim, with his most recent full-length album, The Hurry and The Harm, being nominated for a Juno. City and Colour has toured extensively in both North America and Europe, and in 2011 was the recipient of two Canadian Indie Music Awards.
