Acid Reign is a British band that had success in the late 1980s and early 1990s metal scene. After forming in 1986, they released three studio albums on the UK independent label Under One Flag. They were known for their technicality and aggressive lyrics, which made them popular amongst metal fans of the period. They toured extensively in the UK and Europe, even opening for Iron Maiden on many occasions. They disbanded for a time in 1990, only to reform in 2014 with their fourth studio album. Since then they have continued to tour and have released two more albums. Acid Reign have achieved success with their unique style that combines elements of classic thrash metal and progressive darkness.
