Amber Liu, or Amber, is a singer, songwriter and rapper signed to SM Entertainment, a major South Korean entertainment label. Amber rose to fame as part of the popular girl group F(x), which debuted in 2009 and went on hiatus in 2016.

In 2015, Amber released her first solo album, Beautiful, with the lead single “Shake That Brass”. She soon followed with the 2016 EP, "Borders." For her solo career, Amber has collaborated with a number of international producers including Dev Hynes and Far East Movement.

Apart from her solo work, Amber has also made appearances on the activities of other SM artists. She has worked as a songwriter for other SM groups including Red Velvet and SHINee, and has acted in variety shows and dramas.
