Andrew Bird is an indie rock singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Chicago. He is the creator of his own genre style often labeled as "avian indietronica." Andrew Bird has achieved widespread success and critical acclaim both as a solo artist and as a contributing musician to numerous bands. He is a Grammy-nominated artist known for his violin-based songs with complex vocals, often featuring whistling or yodeling. Bird has released 14 studio albums and several live ones since the start of his professional career in 1996. He has also released four EPs and two collaborations with other musicians. His most recent album is Echolocations: River, released in 2018.
