Annie Lennox is a multi-platinum British singer, songwriter, political activist and philanthropist. She has achieved worldwide success as a solo artist and as a member of the British pop duo Eurythmics with Dave Stewart. She has won numerous awards including four Brit Awards and an Oscar. Her album ‘Diva’ produced the hits ‘Why’ and a cover of “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)” and sold more than 6million copies around the world. Lennox also performed a duet with Aretha Franklin, “Sisters are Doing it for Themselves” and received an Academy Award for the song "Into the West" for the 2002 movie “The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King”. In addition to her musical success, Lennox is an outspoken advocate for women's rights worldwide and HIV/AIDS issues.
