April Wine is a Canadian rock band formed in 1969. The band's core members are brothers David and Ritchie Henman, with Myles Goodwyn as the main songwriter and lead vocalist. Although their style has changed various times throughout their career, their music has been rooted in hard rock, blues and progressive rock genres. The band has released 23 studio albums, 20 live albums, and 14 compilation albums. April Wine has had many charting singles in Canada and the United States, including "Bad Side of the Moon," which reached No. 21 on the US Billboard Hot 100 in 1980. The band experienced their height of popularity in the late 1970s and early 1980s, and have remained a popular live act. The band's most recent studio album, The Nature of the Beast, was released in 2018.
