Area-7 is an Australian hardcore punk and metalcore musical group that formed in 1994. The group's music combines elements of punk and metal, as well as incorporating hip hop lyrics. The band has released four studio albums, one EP, and three compilation albums throughout their career. The group released their last album in 2001 entitled Through and Beyond. Area-7 has become well-known for their energetic, high-energy live shows. They have seen some mainstream success, with their singles ‘Hate You’ and ‘Take It’ receiving airtime on MTV Australia. Over the course of their career, the band has toured with high-profile acts such as Cobra Starship and Angels and Airwaves. Despite their last album being released in 2001, Area-7 has gained a devoted and loyal fan base who continue to support the band today.
