About Austin Mackay
Austin Mackay is a multi-genre artist from Scotland. He had a career as a session musician before embarking on his solo musical journey in 2013. Heavily influenced by jazz, soul, and hip-hop, his music has been described as “funky, sophisticated, and melodic” and aims to combine all of these genres into unique and engaging tracks.
With an impressive LP under his belt, Austin has received love from both his fans and press alike with interviews and performances on various UK radio stations, such as BBC Radio Scotland. Austin has also achieved success with his energetic and captivating live performances, and regularly tours internationally.
In 2020, Austin released his new five-track EP 'Phases', which was the follow-up to his critically acclaimed album 'The Life and Times of ALF the 98er'. Austin has also collaborated with various artists, including Martin Green from Scottish band Lau in 2020.
