Ben Salter is an Australian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, known for his evocative, emotive storytelling. He first began performing in the early 2000s, busking in Merthyr Village, New South Wales. His debut EP, 2008's 'Giant Hands', was followed by two acclaimed studio albums in 2010 and 2012, 'The Cat' and 'The Wake'. His 2018 album, 'Back Yourself', cemented his standing as one of Australia's most renowned songwriters, exploring themes ranging from redemption to love and loss. Ben is also a founding member of folk-rock supergroup The Wilson Pickers, alongside The Morrisons' Kav Temperley and The Scare's Dom Turner. In addition to his solo work, he has also released collaborations and projects with artists across the world, including UK singer-songwriter Peter Broderick and Nashville's Caitlin Canty.
