Benga, born Adegbenga Adejumo in 1986, is a British music producer and DJ, widely regarded as a pioneer of the dubstep genre. Emerging from the vibrant South London music scene, Benga began producing music in his teenage years and played a pivotal role in shaping dubstep alongside artists like Skream and Mala. He gained significant attention with his album 'Diary of an Afro Warrior' in 2008, which showcased his innovative sound. As a member of the group Magnetic Man, alongside Skream and Artwork, Benga contributed to further popularizing dubstep on a global scale. Despite announcing his retirement in 2014, Benga returned to music, continuing to influence the electronic music landscape with his eclectic style.
