One gets nominated to the Grammys once, but Brandi Carlile is the most nominated female artist at the 61st Grammy Awards, winning three awards out of the six total nominations.
Acclaimed singer and songwriter, Brandi knew she was destined for the spotlight ever since she was a child. She dropped out of high school and taught herself piano and guitar. With a powerful yet trembling voice that devours your soul, Brandi released a critically acclaimed album that didn't reach the desired commercial success. Her follow-up album, "The Story" was the commercial success she needed. She peaked the Billboard chart at nr. 41 and spurred several appearances across the world, opening for the likes of Maroon 5 or One Republic and playing shows as Jimmy Kimmel Live! or The Tonight Show.
