About Caravan
Caravan is an English progressive rock band, formed in Canterbury, England in 1968. The band is widely considered to be one of the most important bands in the development of progressive rock music. During their initial heyday in the 1970s, Caravan is renowned for assisting in the popularization of the Canterbury Scene, a subgenre of progressive rock. Over the course of a 42 year career, Caravan released over a dozen studio albums including classics like In the Land of Grey and Pink and Cunning Stunts. Caravan have toured extensively, with a lineup change in 1978 that saw the addition of keyboardist Geoff Richardson. The band has continued to tour and perform to this day and their extensive catalog of classic songs is perennially revered by prog fans around the world.
