Carpenter Brut is a French musician who is best known for his work in the synthwave genre. He started his career in 2012 and released his debut EP release Le Perv I in 2015, and a year later he released his second EP, Le Perv II. His music is heavily inspired by horror movies and combines elements of metal, industrial, and electro music. He has released two full-length albums, and several extended plays, as well as collaborated with other musicians from the synthwave scene. His influence has extended to other genres as well, and he has remixed songs for the likes of Rammstein and Slipknot. He has become synonymous with the revival of synthwave and his live shows are renowned for their energy.
