About Ceres

Ceres avatar

Ceres is an Australian alternative rock band from Brisbane. Members are J.Glenn on lead vocals and guitar, Tom Lanyon on guitar, Vanessa Thornton on bass and Brendan Welch on drums. Their music is described as an amalgamation of classic alt-rock, 90's influences, modernised with a strong pop sensibility.

Their debut album, Drag It Down on You, was released in 2012 and featured singles such as ‘Hexenhaus’, ‘Compulsion’, and ‘The Difference’. This record was praised by many critics for its infectious pop-rock sound and arena-worthy anthems. Afterwards, in 2015, the band released their follow-up album, Drag It Down On You, Pt. II, and toured the world.

Since then, the group has released a number of EP's and amassed a global following. In 2021, they are set to release their third full-length album.
