Chelsea Wolfe is an American musician and singer-songwriter, who began her career playing folk music. Her sound evolved to encompass elements of punk, doom metal, and electronic music. Wolfe's atmospheric sound is both captivating and immersive, drawing influence from alternative music such as her idols PJ Harvey and Rock Is Hell Records artists. Her lyrics frequently explore topics of darkness and sadness. Since her start in 2009, Wolfe has released five studio albums, including her widely acclaimed fifth album Unknown Rooms in 2012, and her latest album Abyss in 2015.
