About Cock Sparrer
Cock Sparrer is a punk rock band from the East End of London, formed in 1972. The original lineup included Colin McFaull, Steve Bruce, Mick Beaufoy, Micky Fitz, Rob 'Stix' Wyer, and Andy Orford. They released their debut single in 1977 and immediately gained a following due to their high energy performances. Throughout the '70s and '80s, Cock Sparrer released three albums and eight singles, all featuring their unique blend of working-class punk music and melodic rock. Their songs often touched on popular issues of the day, such as unemployment, racism, and issues surrounding Thatcherism. During the '90s and 2000s, Cock Sparrer toured extensively in the United States and Europe, and released the album Here We Stand in 2006. Their 2017 album Forever marked a record-breaking 39 years since their initial release, making Cock Sparrer one of the longest-lasting punk bands in the world
