Colleen Hewett is an Australian singer, actress and television presenter. She was born in Melbourne in 1950 and began her performing career at very young, becoming a cast member of the children’s TV show The Tarax Show. Her career continued to blossom in the 1970s and 80s when she had booming success in the music and television industry as a theatre performer and cable TV host. Hewett has released several studio albums as of 2018, with her most iconic song being the 1976 hit ‘Day by Day’. In 1996 Hewett won the ARIA Award for Best Female Artist. In more recent years, she has starred in numerous stage productions as well as TV shows such as Underbelly. Hewett continues to be an iconic figure in the Australian music and entertainment industry.
