About The Offspring
The Offspring are an 80's skate-punk band from Garden Grove, California. Driven by lead vocalist "Dexter," the group reached incredible heights thanks to their highly aggressive teenage relatable tracks. Credited for reviving the punk-rock current in the mid-'90s, along with other names such as Green Day, The Offspring has stirred a skate-punk rebellion in the hearts of teenagers.
The Offspring have hit the ground running in the music industry. Albums like "Smash" or "Americana" have paved the way towards mainstream success. Whilst punk-rock was a frowned upon genre, The Offspring, managed to shift the balance in their favor. Tracks like "Self-Esteem" or "Pretty Fly For A White Guy" weren't debating the same punk ethics. While the aggressive tone of their music remained the same, they tackled issues adolescents, and young adults were facing in the '90s.
Still, The Offspring are a band which 90's kids resonate with. Their music always sounds like youthful melancholia.
