Conan is a Japanese indie rock group from Nagoya, Japan, formed in 1997. The band is composed of two core members – frontman and guitarist Kōji Ueno, and drummer Daisuke Furudate. The duo is renowned for their intense live performances, and unique blend of garage punk, blues, and rock influences. Their music is largely instrumental, and concerts can often go past the four-hour mark.

Since their formation, the band has released 10 studio albums (including their latest, 'Proverbs of Hell' in 2019), 2 live albums, and numerous singles and EPs. Their debut album 'Trouble Imaginary' was released in 1998, and received much acclaim. Over their career, the group has also performed at Fuji Rock, Summer Sonic, and other major music festivals in Japan and overseas.
