Cutting Crew are an English rock band formed in 1985 and fronted by vocalist Nick Van Eede. They are best known for their 1986 hit single, “(I Just) Died in Your Arms”. It reached number one in over a dozen countries and earned the band two Grammy nominations for Best New Artist and Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. They released four studio albums between 1986 and 1993, all of which received critical acclaim. The band had several other hits such as “I’ve Been in Love Before” and “(I Just) Died in Your Arms Tonight”, both of which charted in the US and UK. Since cutting their 1993 album “Compulsion”, the band have continued to perform live occasionally, including a recent performance in celebration of the 30th anniversary of “(I Just) Died in Your Arms.”
