The Dead Kennedys were an American punk rock band formed in San Francisco, California in 1978. The band was one of the defining bands of the punk scene, their music featuring a combination of hardcore punk and surf rock. Their most notable songs include "Holiday in Cambodia" and "Too Drunk to Fuck". Dead Kennedys released four studio albums, an E.P., and two compilation albums during their time together. The band dissolved in 1986 due to the pending legal battle with their former label, arising from a censored song released. They reunited in 2001 and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018.
