Deftones is an experimental heavy metal group from Sacramento, California, who've proven themselves worthy of the big stages ever since their inception in 1988.
Characterized by music havoc, Deftones have successfully experimented with neighboring styles of metal until they've found a sound that matched the band's personality. Experimental at heart, they've successfully combined rhythmic chaos with hushed verses. It's a style that granted the band multiple platinum albums as well as a Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance in 2001 thanks to their song "Elite".
From their 1994 album "Adrenaline" to their 2016 "Gore", Deftones have been on an industry rollercoaster. From changing guitarists, drummers to postponing their albums, Deftones have been through it all. Yet, despite their setback, the band has still managed to reach the highest point of their genre, touring the world and always looking to renew their undying music style.
