Dirty Projectors is an experimental rock group based out of Brooklyn, New York. Founded by David Longstreth in 2002, this indie rock collective have created an expansive and unique discography combining elements of indie, folk, abstract hip-hop, modern classical music, R&B and rock. The group has released a total of eight studio albums to date, including their eclectic and critically acclaimed 2009 album, Bitte Orca. Their past works have also included highly experimental albums such as 2017’s Dirty Projectors and 2018’s Lamp Lit Prose. In 2020, they released a special self-titled EP, combining influences from African music and jazz. With dreamy soundscapes and forward enough songwriting, Dirty Projectors have become one of indie rock’s most acclaimed acts.
