About Don Williams
Don Williams, nicknamed 'The Gentle Giant', was a Nashville Hall of Famer and one of country music's most successful and popular singers from the 70s through to the 90s. Growing up in Texas, Don first gained fame as a member of the folk band Pozo-Seco Singers before beginning a solo career in 1971.
Williams released over thirty albums throughout his career, including 'Volume One' which was certified Gold. He was an undoubtedly a successful artist whose singles went on to enter the top ten of the Billboard Country singles chart over twenty-five times. Famously, his 1978 single 'Tulsa Time', co-written with label mate Danny Flowers, became a mainstream success, even reaching the top twenty of the UK pop chart.
Don Williams was bestowed countless awards and accolades throughout his career including induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2010 and a AN (Artist of Nashville) Lifetime Achievement Award, among many others. Don Williams retired
