About Ed Kuepper

Ed Kuepper is a legendary Australian singer-songwriter, best known for his eclectic and innovative fusion of rock, punk and country music styles. Kuepper came to prominence in the late 1970s as a founding member of the post-punk group The Saints. He wrote most of their material, becoming known for his longform compositions and distinctive voice. Following this, Kuepper embarked on a solo career in the 1980s, releasing eight full-length albums and numerous singles and EPs. His body of work encompasses a wide range of styles and genres, from psychedelic rock to power pop to blues and more. Kuepper has continued to be a prolific and influential musician, releasing new material sporadically and collaborating with numerous different artists, including Dave Graney, Jimmy Little, and Tim Rogers. He is widely recognised as one of the most important Australian songwriters of the past fifty years.
