About Elliott BROOD

Elliott BROOD is a Canadian band made up of three members: Mark Sasso, Casey Laforet, and Stephen Pitkin. Formed in Toronto in 1998, the band has been active in the Canadian folk/country music scene ever since. They are best known for their unique brand of rural, down-home yet upbeat music. Their 2006 Album "Mountain Meadows" charted at number 8 in Canada, and the following year they were presented with the Juno Award for Roots andTraditional Album of the Year. Elliott BROOD toured extensively in Canada, the USA, and Europe in the 2000s, from well-known folk festivals like the Winnipeg Folk Festival to underground shows in rural Ontario. 2009 saw the release of their Juno-nominated album "Mountain Meadows," along with multiple music videos from the album. Elliott BROOD went on hiatus in 2011, but have since reunited to perform at various festivals. The band is currently working on a new album which is due
