Great White is an American hard rock group that was established in 1982 in Los Angeles, California. The core of the original band members consisted of Jack Russell (lead vocals), Mark Kendall (guitar), Lorne Black (bass), and Audie Desbrow (drums). The group initially released two albums that caught the attention of the hard rock music scene of the 1980s, and achieved hit singles with "Once Bitten, Twice Shy" and a cover of Ian Hunter's "Save Your Love".

The band released over 20 albums in their career, and their greatest success came in 1991, when they achieved platinum-selling record success with the album "Hooked".
