About Harry James Angus

Harry James Angus is a multi-faceted singer, songwriter, actor and instrumentalist from Australia. He is best known as a founding member of the acclaimed Australian band, The Cat Empire , which he formed in 1999 and works as a lead singer and trumpet player. Angus has also collaborated with various artists in Australia and Europe, both onstage and in the recording studio. He is known for his unique style of jazz-funk infused with reggae and Latin grooves. Alongside his work in The Cat Empire, Harry has released two solo albums: the jazz-tinged Home, which was released in 2011, as well as his most recent work, a covers album entitled Always There, released in 2016. He has won multiple awards over the years, including Best Original Music for an Independent Film at the 2010 ARIA Music Awards and Best Jazz Release at the 2012 ARIA Music Awards.
