Hydroplane is an indie rock band from Melbourne, Australia. Formed in 2010, the band is made up of Patrick Clifford (guitar and vocals), Sam Longmore (guitar and vocals), Kris Johnson (drums), and Ollie Browne (bass). They have released two EPs, Urban Conga in 2010, and Impulse Control in 2011, and four LPs; High Tiide in 2012, Demon Dance in 2015, Made of Fire in 2018, and Sunlight in 2021. Over the years, they have built a devoted following and toured extensively across Australia and Europe. Their songs have appeared in films and TV shows, and their album and singles streams now exceed 40 million! Hydroplane’s music has been described as melodic and moody indie-rock, full of soaring anthemic choruses, intricate guitar work and thoughtful, often poetic lyrics.
