Jeffrey Lewis is an American singer-songwriter, musician and comic book artist from New York City. He is often referred to as a "hodgepodge" of styles, ranging from his use of sharp wit in the lyrics of his songs to his roots in the DIY punk scene of New York City. His topics of his songs often range from politics to popular culture, and he is also well-known for his live performances, which feature comic-style drawings projected onto a screen and accompanied with an acoustic guitar.

Lewis released his debut album, The Last Time I Did Acid I Went Insane and other Favorites, in 2003, and has since released multiple albums and EPs. His most recent project is entitled Bad Wiring, released in 2017. For the past several decades, Lewis has also appeared in numerous publications and with various musical groups, and is currently supported by Rough Trade Records.
