Jlin is a Chicago-based artist and music producer, who has become known for her bass-heavy sound blending elements of footwork, industrial music, and other diverse influences. She has released a handful of critically acclaimed albums, starting with Dark Energy (2015), Black Origami (2017), and Autobiography (2019). Additionally, she has collaborated with artists such as William Basinski, Holly Herndon, and more. Her music has been featured in Coca-Cola and Nike campaigns, as well as major films such as The Hateful Eight. She received the Innovator Award at the Red Bull Music Academy in 2017, and has been touring internationally. Jlin is noted for her inventive approach to production, as evidenced by her celebrated live performances.
