Kaia Kater is an incredibly talented musician and songwriter from Toronto. They have become a rising star in the genre of folk and traditional music, blending Appalachian sounds to create a unique sound. Debuting their first EP in 2015, Kater has gone on to deliver two albums, Nine Pin in 2017, and Grenades in 2019.

Kater’s music has been critically acclaimed, winning them a Canadian Folk Music Award in 2018 for Young Performer of the Year and a JUNO Award nomination the following year. Additionally, they have won the She’s the One contest, a competition held by Bluegrass nation, and have toured in many countries including the US, Ireland, and the UK. They have also toured as a support performer for some of the most renowned music acts, such as The Milk Carton Kids and Foy Vance.
