Katy Steele is an Australian singer-songwriter, musician, and producer. After signing with EMI Australia in 2005, Steele's debut solo album Little Bird was released in July 2009. Following the release of her single "Miracles", she was nominated for two ARIA Music Awards the same year. Steele has released five solo albums to date, and is known for her melancholic lyrics, soulful vocals, and alternative indie-pop sound. Her sixth album Human, featuring the single "Living for the Moment", was released in 2020. Alongside her solo work, Steele has recorded with several bands including Little Birdy, The Sleepy Jackson, and Belle, and wrote scores for the films Australian Summer and Silver Linings.
