Kishi Bashi is an American violinist, singer, and songwriter from Seattle, WA. Born Kaoru Ishibashi, he is known for his live looping instrumental and vocal ablities. He has mastered playing multiple instruments including the violin, ukulele, and guitar. Kishi Bashi's music has been featured in films and television shows such as Portlandia and Saturday Night Live. His debut album, "151a," was released in 2012 and since then he has released three more. Kishi Bashi has toured with bands like Of Montreal, Regina Spektor and Sondre Lerche. He recently released his fifth album "Omoiyari" in 2019.
