About Lucy Wainwright Roche
Lucy Wainwright Roche is an American singer-songwriter originally from New York City. She is the daughter of folk singers Loudon Wainwright III and Suzzy Roche, and the half-sister of Rufus Wainwright. Lucy began performing around New York City in the early 2000s, eventually recording her own EP, Lucy, in 2005. She has gone on to release 5 full-length solo albums, the most recent being 2019's Little Beast. She has toured with veteran musicians such as David Crosby and Amanda Palmer, and has collaborated with Jeff Tweedy of Wilco. She also performs in the collaborative duo Wainwright and Roche with her mother, Suzzy. Her sound has been described as folk-tinged indie rock, leaning heavily on folk & Americana influences.
