Luke Abbott is a British composer, producer and DJ based in Norwich, England. He is best known for his extensive work with electro-acoustic and minimalist elements, rooted in dancefloor and ambient. He released his debut album Holkham Drones in 2010, followed by a critically acclaimed sophomore album, Wysing Forest, in 2014. His third full-length album, Translate, was released in the fall of 2018. Abbott has also collaborated and remixed for a variety of artists, including Four Tet, Bonobo, Caribou, and Jon Hopkins. His projects range from solo, live multiinstrumental compositions to DJ mixes that blend elements of techno, acid, and electro-acoustic textures. Abbott often features his own unique style of synthesizers, modular systems, and drum machines to create groundbreaking music.
