Maara (CA) is a Canadian-based R&B/Soul artist from Ottawa. She began her music career in 2016 as an independent artist, using her own creativity as her fuel. Maara’s style emphasises self expression and exploration, combining elements of soul, R&B, hip-hop, jazz and gospel to create a sound that is all her own. Her debut EP, Emotions, was released in 2017 and since then she has been praised for her unique sound and picture-esque lyrics. In addition, her singles “Signs” and “So Good” have landed her on playlists such as Spotify’s ‘Women of R&B’ and Apple Music’s ‘Best of the Week’ list.
