Mahalia Barnes is an Australian singer-songwriter and the daughter of renowned rock singer Jimmy Barnes and Jane Mahoney. She has been performing music since she was a young girl, following in her father's footsteps. Signed to EMI, she released her debut album Overnight in 2007 and her single "Stepping Stone" was voted in the top 30 of radio station triple j's Hottest 100 of 2007.

More recently, Mahalia was nominated for a 2013 APRA award for most performed urban work of the year. She has also toured with artists including The Black Eyed Peas, Smokie Robinson and Lionel Richie, and has performed at some of the biggest festivals including Glastonbury and Splendor in the Grass.

In 2014, Mahalia Barnes partnered with Soul Mama and released her new EP True Colors. Along with her original material, Mahalia is well-known for her powerful and moving interpretations of other people's songs.
