Marty Rhone is an Australian soul-singer and songwriter known for his 1970s soul-pop songs. He began his career in the 1960s by busking around the streets of Melbourne, Australia. By the 1970s, he had gained a local following with his soulful records and live concerts. Eventually, his music attracted international attention and he released ‘Gonna Shake Your Foundations’, which was a top 20 hit in Australia. Throughout the late 1970s and early 1980s, he made multiple successful albums, including ‘Marty Rhone’, ‘Feel So Right’, and ‘The Bicycle Thief’. Rhone received three ARIA Awards in his career, with his participation in the 1991 recording of ‘Treaty’ receiving gold and platinum certifications. In 2015, Rhone was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame.
