About Maserati

Maserati avatar

Maserati is an American surf rock band from Athens, Georgia. Consisting of brothers Phil and Joe Bradford, Rick Alverson and Mike Albanese, Maserati formed in 2002 as a side project of drummer Phil's band, The Valentines.

Their music is a mix of 1950s and 60s style surf and garage rock, post-punk and ambient soundscapes. Their early material has been compared to modern acts such as Sonic Youth and My Bloody Valentine.

The band released their debut full-length album, The New Alchemist, in 2004, and have since released 4 more studio albums. In 2010, the band signed to Temporary Residence Records and released their fifth album, Pyramid of the Sun.

Maserati's music has been featured in several films and video games, such as the widely popular series Need for Speed, as well as appearing in a guest spot on Adult Swim's Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!
