Matias Aguayo is a German-Chilean musician and DJ known for his innovative approach to electronic music. Emerging from the vibrant Cologne music scene in the late 1990s, he gained early recognition as one half of the duo Closer Musik, which was affiliated with the influential label Kompakt. Following his time with Closer Musik, Aguayo embarked on a successful solo career, releasing albums and singles that explored a diverse range of rhythms and styles, often incorporating elements of Latin music. Renowned for his energetic and engaging live performances, Aguayo has also founded the label Cómeme, where he champions eclectic and boundary-pushing electronic sounds. Over the years, he has been celebrated for his unique ability to blend minimal techno with warm, organic rhythms.
