Matt Simons is an American singer-songwriter who achieved international fame in 2014 with his single "Catch & Release." Born in 1989 in New York City, Simons was already learning to play guitar and writing songs at 14. After attending and graduating from The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York, he spent time crafting his songwriting skills, eventually signing to a German label in 2011.

Simons's first solo album, "Pieces," was released in 2012 and was well received in Europe, helping to launch Simons's career. Since then, he has been prolific in both the US and Europe, releasing several additional albums and EP's. He is now widely recognized as a craftsman of thoughtful acoustic-pop tunes with catchy yet poignant lyrics. His fan-base is growing steadily and his music has reached more than half a billion streams across streaming platforms.
