Meursault is an indie rock/folk band from Edinburgh, Scotland. Formed in 2002, the band is composed of members Neil Pennycook, Craig MacFarlane, Iain Stewart, and Rebecca Wilson. Their sound is a unique blend of folk, indie rock, and baroque pop, and their lyrics vary from whimsical to hauntingly personal. The band has released five studio albums so far, including Pissing On Bonfires/Kissing With Tongues, All Creatures Will Make Merry, and I Will Kill Again. They have toured extensively throughout the UK and Europe, and recently released a retrospective nine-disc collection entitled Woody and Steel. Meursault's music has featured in film and television, as well as gaining praise from various publications including The Guardian, The Scotsman and Uncut Magazine.
