Mindy Meng Wang is a multi-faceted Chinese-born musician, composer, and vocalist based in Berlin. She primarily puts an Eastern spin on contemporary pop music by combining traditional Chinese instruments, such as the pipa and erhu, with elements of post-rock, electro-pop, and ambient music. With her unique blend of genres, Mindy has distinguished herself from the typical Chinese pop music sounds, and has developed her own distinct style. Mindy has released four solo albums, her most recent record, 'Foreign Country', was released in 2020. She has also collaborated with a number of acclaimed ambient electronic artists, such as Hakobune and Sasu Ripatti. She has toured extensively these last couple of years, performing throughout Europe and in her native China. Her incredibly unique style of music has landed her with performances at various renowned festivals, such as Sŵn in Cardiff and Borealis in Norway.
