Mondo Rock is a popular Australian rock band formed in 1976. Led by vocalist and primary songwriter Ross Wilson, the band enjoyed some major commercial success. Throughout their career, the band has released 13 studio albums, several live recordings and various compilation albums. Most of their success came in the 1980s, starting with their second single, "Come Said the Boy." Mondo Rock earned five top-10 singles in Australia, 5 ARIA music awards and sold more than one million albums. Other successful singles came with Bigger Than Both of Us in 1983, State of the Heart in 1984, and Evolution in 1986. In later years, their success gradually declined, although they continued to tour and perform at festivals in Australia and abroad. While the band has gone through several lineup changes, Ross Wilson remains a central figure.
