Opiuo is not a well-accustomed name in the dance music industry. Ever since his Slurp & Giggle album debut in 2010, his futuristic funkadelic bass-driven sound has been supported by artists like Pretty Lights, Bassnectar, and more and his. His music features a mixture of electro and future music, while always remaining true to his Melbourne grimy roots. From attending juggernaut festivals like Lollapalooza, Glastonbury, or Voodoo Music Festival, Opiuo has sold out venues and transformed his music into a sophisticated interpretation of his sound with the emergence of Opiuo X Syzygy Orchestra which graced the audience at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater. His contribution to electronic music thesaurus granted him a trophy at the 2014 New Zealand Music Awards for the Best Electronica Album for Meraki.
