Orphaned Land is an Israeli heavy metal band with musical influences on progressive and folk rock. Founded in 1991, the band is well-known for their particular blend of Middle Eastern music elements with progressive metal, which they like to call "Oriental metal". Their albums introduce intricate lyrics which incorporates Jewish, Christian and Islamic mysticism.

Throughout their career Orphaned Land have released five studio albums, all of which have been highly acclaimed by both mainstream and metal music press. They have performed around the world in festivals, such as Wacken Open Air, Graspop Metal Meeting, Sweden Rock, and Inferno Festival, among other venues. The band have also been lauded for their social activism, becoming the first ever Israeli metal band to perform in Arab countries like Dubai and Lebanon.
