Parliament Funkadelic is an American funk band that formed in the late 1960s. Led by the charismatic leader George Clinton, the psychedelic funk collective has released over 40 albums and had hits like “One Nation Under A Groove” and “Flash Light.” Parliament Funkadelic is one of the most influential funk and rock-fusion bands of the 1970s and their music has a strong influence on the sound of modern hip-hop, pop, and funk music. Their greatest work began in the mid 1970s with the iconic "Mothership Connection" album. They continued to record for the rest of the 70s and continue to tour today, delighting fans with their funk-inspired fusion of hard rock, jazz, and pop. Parliament Funkadelic has won five Grammy Awards and is into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
