Powerman 5000 is an American industrial metal band from Boston, Massachusetts. They started performing in 1991 and released their first album,True Force in 1995. The band has released seven studio albums, two compilations, and two EPs. Their most successful album was 1999's Tonight the Stars Revolt! which peaked at number 63 in the US Billboard 200 chart. This album featured their most successful single "When Worlds Collide" which peaked at number 26 on the Mainstream Rock CHarts. Following this, they released three more albums: Transform, Builders of the Future, and New Wave, all of which trended well though none quite achieved the same success as Tonight the Stars Revolt! The band also recently released a new record Megatropolis 2.0 which was successfully released in May 2020.
